Gatlinburg's Erik Dobell wins MARLIN AWARD for “Greatest MENTALIST EVER”

Recently honored with the “wish.com Award of Magic”, Erik Dobell was named “Greatest Mentalist EVER” by the Intercontinental Wizarding Society.

Honored with the equivalent of the “wish.com Award of Magic”, Erik Dobell was named “Greatest Mentalist EVER” by the Intercontinental Wizarding Society.

Regionally known Mentalist Erik Dobell was the recipient of the Intercontinental Wizarding Society Marlin Award for Greatest Mentalist EVER.

World President of Intercontinental Wizarding Society, Santiago Hemingway, abruptly presented the award to Erik in the middle of a performance in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in front of an audience that included Jason Smith from Alabama and a lady that once met Carrot Top at an airport Starbucks about seven years ago, and thought he was a really nice guy.

The Marlin Award, known as the wish.com Award equivalent for the magic industry, is…an honor bestowed by a guy and is based on talent, showmanship, $40 bucks, and a gift certificate for Applebees. Santiago also presented the award to Ohio based Magician TJ Marlatt, making them the only two performers to have received the award thus far and probably ever.

“I am proud to honor and recognize Erik Dobell for his extraordinary contributions to magic.” Santiago slurred . “He’s really good at whatever it is that he does, and I’m totally not just saying that.”
